Another good life lesson from a place you would not expect

Xan just got an email with this link from the principal of her school. It is a very moving story and provides a great glimpse on how everyone in this world can make a difference.

It's Snowing!!!!

First snow of the year. Not sure why I'm so excited about it as it just helps confirm that it's COLD outside.

I think it probably just is cool in that it's all about Maine.

Grampa Norm Army Portrait....

I've been holding onto this photo for a while from my family to try to get it scanned in so we can all have as a digital photo and hopefully keep for a long time.

This is one of the few photos I've ever seen of my grandfather when he was younger. Not sure why that is. But it's so easy to see the grandfather I know in this photo. He really hasn't changed all that much.

Looks like I may be going along with the family this year to Grampa's MacArthur reunion down in Norfolk, VA and I'm very excited about it. I think it will be great to be able to hear more stories from some of the guys that were in the unit with him and just others that were involved in that whole period of history.

Maine -- We made it!!!

More updates to follow, but Xan and I got all moved into the house in Maine this weekend.

Special thanks to Craig and my Mom and Dad for a LOT of work for us this weekend. It was hot and miserable, but they all worked hard and gave up a lot of their time to help us get moved in.

Lots of clean up and organizing to do, but we're up here now!!
